APPROACH
Southern California has long been one of the strongest-performing ecommerce and wholesale markets for Krewe — and also one of the most complex. With its scale, fragmented submarkets, and highly competitive retail corridors, the region presents both extraordinary opportunities but also, significant barriers to entry.
Krewe sought US Retail to help develop a strategic, relationship-driven approach to thoughtfully expand its footprint across both Los Angeles and Orange counties — targeting some of the most selective and culturally influential retail districts possible.
Southern California is not a single market — it is a collection of distinct micro-markets, each with its own consumer profile, landlord expectations, and leasing dynamics.
Rather than relying solely on traditional leasing channels, we employed a hands-on, relationship-first strategy. In supply-constrained environments like Abbot Kinney and Lido Marina Village, we structured creative deal terms, navigated complex negotiations, and aligned stakeholder incentives to secure highly coveted placements. Our focus was not simply securing space — but securing the right space to strengthen brand equity and drive long-term success for both Krewe and ownership.
